MMM é um primeiro rascunho para projetos de itinerância. Tem umas referências e idéias guardadas por lá.

An experiment on mobility, media and people. An used, big, car, with loads of embedded open-source multimedia technology, travelling around a) Europe b) Brazilian North-east. Hackers & Circus Crews & Gipsies & Artists, on the road. Unlike the mediocre sociability of european families that have motorhomes and trailers to bring private life abroad, we want to explore social, public uses for that kind of vehicle. Freak circus arrives and opens and suddenly the circus is not what is used to be in the last city. Create live (living, organic, symbolic, conflituous, dynamic) links between people and spaces and ideas in different places. We don’t propose residencies, but itinerancies. The car is built and hacked and transformed in each different destination. Humanity is movement. Migrations. Exchange.

Voltaic Systems | Voltaic Backpack, Solar Backpack, Solar Bag

The Voltaic solar bags are mobile solar power generators designed to charge virtually all handheld electronics.

Gear Factor

With the exception of a handful of companies still managing to make money by charging people for Wi-Fi access in public places, pretty much everyone wants wireless to be free — or at least cheap enough to feel free. With that in mind, a gadget maker named Julian Bleeker has designed the WiFi.Bedouin. With a built-in 802.11b wireless access point, this backpack lets users share data, music, and other content over small areas. However, this design doesn’t include an Internet connection, so it’s only good for local sharing, which means it’s not likely to serve as a legitimate hotspot alternative for anyone who actually needs to get real work done while traveling.

Solar Powered Cell Phone Charger, SOLIO Universal Portable Cell Phone Charger

Solioâ„¢, the Universal “Hybrid” Charger is powerful enough to charge all of your handheld electronic products at home or on the move, anywhere under the sun.Solio is a Hybrid because it can accept power from either the sun or the wall storing this energy within Solio’s internal rechargeable battery. Solio then uses this energy to power your gadgets at the same rate as your wall adapter. Solio will also hold its charge for up to a year.

Solio limits your need to purchase and carry around multiple chargers and is your one stop charging solution for all of your products from cell phones and iPods, to digital cameras, game players, and GPS.

OScar – Reinvent Mobility – Home

It is the goal of the OScar Project to develop a car according to Open Source principles. In our opinion, a car is not a vehicle full of high-tech gadgets. Instead, we are looking for a simple and functional concept to spread mobility. Form follows function.Apart from that, OScar is not just a car. It is about new ways of mobility and the spreading of the Open Source idea in the real (physical) world. On this website, you will find a great community of developers and drivers who want to invent mobility anew and together.

The project started in 1999. In December 2005, it reached release 0.2. Starting in 2006, everyone is welcome to participate.
